It does not have lag or momentum in the handle like other spinning reels. It stop exactly where you want, everytime like a baitcaster. It makes using a spinning reel for many bass lures completely doable. I'm really not sure why some people hate on kastking so much....but this is a very very nice real for the price range. With anti reverse" which is useless" cough, braid ready, smooth reeling L&R hand,bfs capable because its ultra light weight... It's a tremendous reel. I have the 500 on a spin BFS trout rod setup and another 2000 on a bass setup. Looking forward to catching some lunkers and wipers this weekend with it.
