The 50 Amp version is only for hardwired applications.. Your max charge rate on a 50 amp breaker will be 40 amps assuming you used 6 gauge wire. This charger to be of any value needs a 240 V 40amp is what ours is set to. I’d get a certified Electrician to do the installation WTH he 15AMP cord it took about twelve hours to charge our RAV4 Prime. With this Autotel Charger takes 3hours. And you can eat a record and it’s wifi, yo program it and it tells you when t starts and finishes. I downloaded the app and I’m able to start/stop charging, keep track of costs related to charging, etc. So far, no complaints. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very easy to install & use *by L***N on July 31, 2023* I found the installation very easy, providing options for multiple methods of connection and blanking off open ports along with all the needed security tools. The only complaints I have on the installation was that a 2 hole wire clamp was not included for the incoming cable for the interior connection and that my instructions did not include anything on the dial setting for the power limiting output. Fortunately, I was able to find a manual online on their website that explained how to set this. Using with my new Ioniq 6 was brainlessly easy, just plugged it in and done. The only feature I saw really lacking was a way to abort a charge in progress.
