Ok. Let's get expectations straight-it's all wood. You probably are going to paint the parts before you put it together-seemed reasonable to me. Plan 2 days for that because after a couple hours the first day, you're going to test you swearing vocab and do something else for awhile. Once it's painted, I recommend doing what no American male ever does, actually read the instructions. Then go back and read them like phasing maintenance. Have all the parts, tools and a clear plan to go to the assembly portion it becomes. Understand how the specs need to fit into the other assemblies (trust me on this). Wooden gears in multiple planes using candle wax as lube...hey what could go wrong? I advise holding the beer or bourbon to after you've QC'd the section. There will be adversity-you must adapt, and figure it out. It is cool. It is a challenge. Glad I did it.
