It does not sweat so you don’t need a towel. **Q: Does the pack sweat with condensation as the ice melts?** A: I have use this ice pack consistently for two months as I recover from foot surgery. Each time, I use it for 20 minutes and there is no sweating or condensation that forms on the outside of the ice pack - at least not for that duration. **Q: Does it come with the bandage compress strap?** A: No strap is included. It is a very nice ice pack however. **Q: Can i add water to it and freeze directly?** A: Don't see why you couldn't, but make sure you don't feel it too full because when water freezes and expands.
