Review: Excellent Product When Used Properly for Actual Structural Repairs - Excellent Product When Used Properly for Actual Structural Repairs This has been an excellent product for proper automotive and shop-related repairs when used the way it is actually intended to be used. We keep products like this on hand regularly around our automotive and business operations, and this has consistently performed very well for bonding certain plastics, trim pieces, and repair areas that require real structural adhesion rather than temporary shortcuts. One thing worth mentioning is that products like this work best when surface preparation, curing time, and proper application are taken seriously. This is not one of those products that should be blamed because someone tried to improperly patch, force, or improvise a repair beyond what the product was realistically designed to handle. The syringe design makes application clean and controlled, the mixing process is straightforward, and the bond strength has been impressive when used correctly on appropriate materials. It also sets up relatively quickly compared to some other structural adhesives we’ve worked with. The packaging arrived sealed properly with no leaking or hardened product inside the syringe, which is important with adhesives like this. The quantity also feels reasonable considering how little product is often needed per repair. Overall, this is one of those practical shop products that performs exactly the way professionals expect it to when used properly and with realistic expectations. #desertcartFinds #JBWeld #AutomotiveRepair #CarParts #GarageEssentials #StructuralAdhesive #AutoRepair #ShopTools #VehicleRepair #PracticalLiving #Automotive #LuxeLife
Review: Best Plastic Adhesive I’ve Ever Used – Rock-Solid Bond for Every Project! - I cannot say enough good things about the J-B Weld 50133 Plastic Bonder! I needed to repair a cracked ABS plastic panel on my car and a broken PVC trim piece around my house, and this adhesive exceeded every expectation. The syringe design makes mixing the two-part epoxy so easy—no messy measuring, just squeeze and go. It set in under 6 minutes like the label says, and after letting it cure for an hour, the bond was unbreakable. I tried prying the repaired pieces apart and they wouldn’t budge at all! What I love most is how versatile it is. It worked perfectly on flexible and rigid plastic, and even filled small gaps seamlessly without any extra filler. The tan color also blended in nicely with my project materials, so the repair isn’t an eyesore. At under $7 for a 25ml pack, it’s an incredible value too. I’ve gone through cheap plastic glues that fail after a week, but this J-B Weld bonder is built to last. Whether you’re a DIY hobbyist or tackling household repairs, this is a must-have in your toolbox. 5 stars all the way—will definitely buy again!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I want to bond glass to polypropylene. Does this work? If not any good epoxy that works for this?**
A: I did not know if the plastic bonder would stick to glass, so I tried it on some empty glass jars and old prescription pill bottles which were made of Polypropylene, (type 5 plastic). I cleaned and sanded both the plastic bottles and the glass jars. I applied the JB Weld Plastic Bonder to one sample and also tried PC-11 Marine Power Epoxy Paste on another, (the jars and bottles were put together bottom to bottom). After they had cured I tried to pull them apart. Both the Plastic Bonder and the Epoxy Paste held with light pulls and twists. Both came apart with a medium/heavy pull. Both the Plastic Bonder and the Epoxy Paste stuck tenaciously to the glass jar, and came off cleanly from the plastic bottle. So it does stick to glass rather well, while holding, but not bonding to the Polypropylene bottle. I would try some on your particular application, (a sample), and see if the medium holding power to the Polypropylene will work for you. The Plastic Bonder was much easier to mix and apply than the Epoxy Paste. The Plastic Bonder cured in about two hours while it took 24 hours for the Epoxy Paste to cure. Both had about the same results as far as the holding power, but the Plastic Bonder when mixed is like a gel, while the Epoxy is a much thicker paste, which means you could use it to fill gaps and holes. It was easy to file/sand the Plastic Bonder after it had cured, the Epoxy Paste could be worked after it had cured, but it was much harder to do so.

**Q: Will this work on hdpe?**
A: I used this on a PVC job and it worked well for that, but I mixed it on a plastic lid that was HDPE (#2 recyclable) before applying it. There was some left on the lid, and after it dried, it pealed right off the lid, so I'm not too sure about using this on HDPE.

**Q: Can this be used to fix a small crack in a dashboard?**
A: Yes! I used it to repair the vacuum

**Q: Use on metal?**
A: They have one for metal but this is for plastic.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Saved me $600.00 on a repair. Excellent for bonding a variety of broken hoses or parts.
*by E***S on February 19, 2026*

Excellent cohesion to a variety of plastic parts/hoses etc. A rat had eaten a hole in my f-150 hoses. One of the small hoses served the wiper fluid reservoir. Bought some small diameter hose and cut it down the center. Then placed the hose over the glued hose that had the hole. UPDATE: I saved almost a $600.00 repair with this J-B weld. The turn/wiper plastic like component on my 2012 F-150 was broken at the female screw holes (yes I said it). The turn signal/wiper part is almost $400.00 and involved removing the airbag so I tried J-B Weld. I followed instructions and the turn/wiper works perfectly. Important: I had to hold the part in place for about 10 minutes. Then DO NOT use until next day to allow complete drying. $7.00 for $600.00 is an excellent investment. FYI: I tried the plastic welding solution that failed. I tried zip ties and that failed. Update: After 2 months of daily use the glue is still holding. Before this repair I watched many Youtube videos on how to replace the broken turn/wiper component. Just be patient and follow instruction exactly. This is not like crazy glue. Holding the glue part in place for 10-20 minutes should be enough.
