I do not think the "monopod" feature is really usefuly. Just extend one leg and it becomes a complete monopod. For a heavy duty tripod it is light and folds to the same dimensions as my old cheapy. I actually trust the twist lock legs over the clamp type. The ball head that comes with it is very well made and holds my 80D with the Sigma 150-600 attached with absolutely no problem. I’m a serious amateur and have complete confidence in this tripod and I believe a seasoned pro would feel the same.
