The granny or kitchen fork is a multi-use tool indispensable for every home cook. Great for turning food, prep work, blending pastry and serving -- with the well rounded list of uses it is no wonder it was in Bon Appetit’s grouping of favorite tools for the year. Julia Child also loved this vintage tool and it’s easy to see why. It is well priced and is the work horse of the kitchen doing everything from stirring to serving. The Dexter-Russell fork has a natural walnut handle with high carbon, stainless steel individually precision ground tines. Brass rivets secure the fork. Made in the USA. Hand wash recommended.

Never found one in kitchen stores, so I tried desertcart, and my search netted this fork, which clearly earns its name in my home. When it arrived, the wood was not really smooth, like the one I had which was worn smooth with years of use, so I took the new fork to my workshop and applied light sanding and finished with steel wool and olive oil. Fabulous! Great balance and feel. Perfect for food prep, cooking, meat carving, etc. love this fork which is now a basic tool in out kitchen.

Never found one in kitchen stores, so I tried Amazon, and my search netted this fork, which clearly earns its name in my home. I searched high and wide for a new kitchen fork, often called a Grandma fork. Mine, which I had for almost 40 years must have been thrown out with kitchen trash. I can’t function without that kind of fork. This one I ordered through Amazon certainly works well in my kitchen, cooking bacon, steaks, fried potatoes. It does a great job and holds up nice in the dishwasher. A great bargain for something quite hard to find in stores. Thank you

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Made in USA or China?

My granny fork came "carded" with a list of uses on one side and some additional information on the back along with an Item No., UPC Code and boldly printed MADE IN CHINA. The card was slipped inside a plastic sleeve, sealed with a label stuck on it with a different set of numbers and printed on it, "Made in the USA". This is a nicely crafted little fork, the tines and shank are polished stainless steel, no rough spots, the handle is walnut, smoothly finished with brass rivets. Great feel in the hand. I knocked off one star because of the conflicting description of origin, otherwise great. Have ordered four more for Christmas stocking stuffers.
