Unfortunately, we do not like this liquid supplement as well as we liked the capsules. The capsules don't seem to be available any more. The liquid, for whatever reason, is messier and seems to have a stronger smell. We only used part of the bottle and discarded the rest. Wish they'd bring back the capsules! **Q: What does it contain to prevent oxidation? Vitamin E or Chemicals ?** A: The Welactin uses mixed tocopherols as a preservative. After my own research and from information I got from my vet, these are Vitamin E derivatives and isn't considered to be a chemical preservative. Hope this helps! **Q: The Wellactin feline comes in either a bottle of 60 capsules or a 4 oz bottle of liquid. Which would be more economical?** A: It depends how quickly you will use up the liquid once the bottle is open. For me it starts smelling rancid after a month but I use mine up in a month because I have multiple cats on it daily. Therefore the 4 oz bottle is more economical for me plus it's easier to pour vs. twist and open the capsules. If you don't use up the liquid in a month or so, I would stick with the capsules as they have a long shelf life. **Q: How long does it last if using daily?** A: Depends on how many cats you are dispensing it to. I was afraid of upset tummies because one of my cats is sensitive to foods but she has still had solid stool during the transition to this. I started gradually & increased up to her full amount and she seems to really like it. My other cat is being a little picky but will eat it. I am knocking off a star because the packaging is a little sketchy. The first bottle I got, leaked before I even opened it so I got a replacement and the second didn’t. But if you read the instructions on there page, it says to remove the seal before using and neither bottle had a seal on them but the boxes were unopened.
