(3mm? 4mm? 5mm?) TiA.** A: Hi, Ashford Ridge leather is between 3.5mm - 4.0mm. Many thanks **Q: Is the buckle and loop attached by sticking as shown in the main photos or, attached by screw/ nut and staples as in the customer reviews?** A: The buckle and loop are stitched into the belt, albeit it is not possible to see how the loop is joined together, but I cannot feel any studs/rivets. **Q: Do you know where I can buy a rivet to put my Ashford belt back together again..The nut and bolt fell apart leaving it in bits.** A: Dont understand the belt being in bits. The screwed connector holds down the belt loop only on my belts and would not be critical to the belts function. However should be able to get rivet/rivet kit from eg Screwfix or Wilko. **Q: Would this belt be ok to wear as a work belt?** A: I would say that it is more of a jeans belt. (I am assuming that by 'work belt' you mean to wear with a suit) but I suppose it would depend on the suit, shoes and watch you would wear. They are very nice belts though. I was looking for a nickel free belt and went with one of the belts that came to the top of the search, not great. It was clearly not leather and after one day gad a big permanent dent. A bit of research put me onto this company and I am delighted. Great price for a hand made real leather belt with a proper metal (nickel free) buckle. Looks great and I'm sure it will last a long time. I liked the small label hand signed by the person who made it, nice touch. I will most likely buy another in black. I have only just tried the belt on but I can highly recommend this company for the quality and look of the belt. Top notch! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Be Careful on Sizes *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 23 February 2026* This belt is fantastic quality. Had my first one for 3 years and still looks like new. Knocking 1 star off due to the gap in sizing though. Having lost some weight recently, I’m now on the last hole and the belt is starting to feel loose. The tongue sticks out too far now so I decided to buy the next smaller size (L from XL). What I found is that the first hole in the new belt is 1 inch shorter than the last hole in the old one. This makes it just too tight to wear. I stupidly assumed that they would overlap slightly. Now I have one belt that is just too big and one that is just too small. I can’t even put an extra hole in as the tongue is too short from the 1st hole to the end. Would give 5 stars if the L was 1 inch longer and the 1st hole matched the last one in the XL. The sellers notes say to be careful in sizing, but think this is a bit too extreme a difference.
