I would definitely recommend this one over the others that I have tried. I have 48v 12s batteries and attempting to find a unit that can handle this is difficult. Most of the units that charge "48v" don't actually charge or have a way of charging 48v but instead are for 13s 52v batteries and with no option to set it up for a 12s battery. This one can do it but it's a little confusing as to how to make it work with a 12s battery or to change the parameters of the user settings for more than a 12v system but it does have the ability to do it. If you are running a 48v system you have to set the user settings for 1/4 of what you want the parameters to be, same goes for a 36v system but 1/3 and a 24v system 1/2. I don't know why they didn't just go the extra mile and let you input the numbers that you want instead of having to do a conversion between 12v and what you system really is but what can I say, I'm not in charge of systems design. Either way, it works. I had to divide all of my settings by 4 and enter them into the user setup and everything was fine. All of the other types of batteries are presets that you just select unless of course you want to keep your battery charged at 80% to extend its life like I do. Then it's off to the user settings. However, they give you all of the parameters for each battery type so you can set it up like they do but at lower numbers so that you can limit your charge if you want to. So far, this thing is perfect but I will do another review in a few months to let you know how it's going. I am expecting good things and for now, it's 5 stars. Review: Economical value. I have 2 of the Eco brand 100w panels hooked up to it thru a combiner box (adding 4 more 100w panels in the near future). Got it on the 2024 July day sales for $80. I am using 8 gauge copper tinned marine wire to feed my single 80ah 12v deep cycle for now (soon to be 3x 100ah LiPo). Seems to track pretty well thus far. Its not an Outback or Midnite Solar (I have had the later model in my offgrid cabin) unit so don't get super excited on features or amperage. Will update if things change. 8/24/24 Update... Charge Spikes?!? (See spike video in review) (Currently 8/24/24 I have 4x 100w Eco Brand Panels and LiPo 12.8v 100ah Battery) (14.4 charge / 13.6 float settings) I sent PowMr support and email today for the following: I bought a new PowMr 60amp MPPT (Pow-M60-Pro) solar charge controller on July 17th 2024 that delivered on July 23rd from desertcart Order Number 111-0xxxxxx-xxxxxx and its started to have issues in "boost charging mode". It will kick to over 15-17vdc and then reset itself and drop back down to the proper setup of 14.4-14.5 vDC. Like its allowing most the solar panels 19-20 vDC voltage to spike thru. Step 2: When the LCD shows 13.7V, long press the setting button until the 13.7V Flashing. Step 3: When the 13.7V Flashing, press plus or minus to adjust your parameter. Step 4: After adjust to your own parameter, let go the button just let is flashing, after 2-5 second it will stop flashing. Step 5: Press setting button to Browse your controller's parameter again, see if the parameter successful modify. **Q: What happens if i put a 12v (18vmax) panel on a 24v battery?** A: it won't charge. This controller only charge when you solar panel voltage higher than battery. **Q: Does this controller steps up voltage if I have 3 12v solar panel wanting to charge a 48v battery?** A: NO.
