I can tell you that we put paint in them and it holds up good without contaminating the paint. They are made in China. **Q: do they come with lids?** A: As of August 2019, This box came with 12 lids. But I'm struggling to find additional lids to purchase. I'm only finding 8oz and 16 oz lids. **Q: Are they food safe?** A: It says for mixing purposes only right on the cup. I am of the opinion that implies they are not food safe. **Q: What are the mixing ratios printed on the cup?** A: 1:1, 2:1:1, 3:1:1, 4:1:1,6:1:1, and 8:1:1.
