Easy to clean with good hot water. It is smaller than I expected but worked great for batches of chocolate. Smaller size is fine with me because it’s easier to store. This a small-medium sized double boiler and certainly does the trick when melting chocolate. The one thing I changed in the directions is instead of turning the stove off after the water boils, I keep it at the lowest setting. It doesn't burn the chocolate and it keeps it from hardening up while your waiting to use it. The spatula that's included works fine(in reviews before I bought it, some people complained of the small size).
