The bag itself is roomy and was a good size to use for our week long Scout Sea Base sailing trip. Since that trip I noticed the bag started coming apart. I have taken this bag on a few more scout campouts, and the seams on the end pockets have started to separate. The main compartment of the bag can still be used, but now I am limited on what I can pack. We purchased 3 other colors (maroon, blue and navy) of this bag, and so far the green one is the only one showing this issue. It held a pair of shin guards, MMA sparring gloves, a pair of boxing gloves, a few shirts, and a pair of MMA shorts in there. There is also a compartment for a mouthguard. I was skeptical, but this bag held them pretty well. It seems 21" is an ideal size for this.
