Product Description The BAKFlip MX4 was the first matte-finished, hard folding cover to market, becoming America’s #1 Selling Hard Folding Cover in just a few years. Simply put, the MX4 just looks better than other covers. Its sleek no-profile appearance allows you to maintain the appearance of your truck, while enabling you to securely stow cargo in the bed. The MX4’s pioneering, textured matte-finish adds a premium look and feel while also protecting against UV damage, annoying finger print marks, and scratches. MX4 has everything you expect from a premium cover. The engineers at BAK Industries fine-tuned even the smallest elements of the cover, down to adding cab corner caps and rail-end cap, to extending a matte-finish throughout the cover’s side rails, clamps, and elevator bolts. The MX4’s integrated buckle system and automatic latching mechanism allows you to drive with the cover partially or fully opened without covering the 3rd brake light. Review: Great product...if all the parts arrive! - Seems like a great product but missing several components, including the rails which are obviously very important! I have contacted Bak Industries to have the issue resolved but have not heard back yet.
Review: Great support and product. - Easy to install. Fits well. Durable. Great support. I’ve had this over a year now. The only issue I had was one of the plastic corners fell off which Bakflip replaced immediately. On the install, you need to ensure the brackets are exactly at a right angle to the bed. This takes a bit of adjusting otherwise the back locks won’t clip. My suggestion would be to increase the latch clearance a bit. I had issues with getting one side to latch but after using it for a bit, now both sides latch when I close the cover.

Easy to install. Fits well. Durable. Great support. I’ve had this over a year now. The only issue I had was one of the plastic corners fell off which Bakflip replaced immediately. On the install, you need to ensure the brackets are exactly at a right angle to the bed. This takes a bit of adjusting otherwise the back locks won’t clip. My suggestion would be to increase the latch clearance a bit. I had issues with getting one side to latch but after using it for a bit, now both sides latch when I close the cover.

Excellent product, near perfect fit. - All hardware is well engineered and sturdy. - Flush fit, looks great. - Top is very strong. - No documentation regarding the 8’ bed rail connectors, closeup and printed insert in package would be helpful - A closeup of the clip in rail insert geometry closeup, printed insert in package would be would helpful. I’d give 4stars but the dam thing is so cool, it works fantastic with my Ford F-450 Platinum. *** It’s worth the BIG $$$ THANKS.
