Review: The best option thus far - I hate tampons so I really wanted to find an alternative. This disc is better than the previous one I tried (Flex Disc. That one had no tabs and was single use). Keep in mind that these take practice and they're messy AF so only remove it in your home until you can figure out what works for you. I love the hook/loop to aide in removing this disc, but y'all, it's a damn massacre getting this thing out so do it in the shower! The first time I took this out, it was in the bathroom squatting over my pants and omg that was the absolute wrong way to do this. It got EVERYWHERE. The next time, I took it out in the shower and it was so much better!! Once it's in and it's in correctly, it's great!! You don't feel it at all. I'm gonna sleep in it tonight for the first time and will update my review. EDIT: My first night using this disc and woke up dry as a bone. Not a drop of blood anywhere! I decided to try taking the disc out while sitting on the toilet and that made a lot more sense than squatting in the shower every time I want to remove it. Removal was mess free and I was able to dump the contents right into the toilet. Super easy and I'm hoping this is always this easy because I'm done with tampons! Make sure you insert it with the tab right under your pubic bone though, otherwise you'll struggle getting the disc out. EDITING AGAIN TO ADD: Ok ladies, this thing definitely takes practice but it is worth it! This is my second period using it and this time is going much smoother than the last time, so you just have to figure out how this works best for you. I love that you can put it in and not worry about it for up to 12 hours. The easiest way I'm finding it take put it in is to fold it in half with the tab facing outward, squatting down, insert it then stand up to finish inserting it behind the pubic bone. Staying in a squatting position will make it harder for insertion. To take it out, do it while on the toilet, lean back a bit, reach for the tab and pull it out. Empty contents into the toilet and wash it out. I'll agree with others that the double rim is unnecessarily thick which makes it a bit difficult to fold up and shove up there, but it gets done. You just have to know when to angle up or down. 4TH AND FINAL EDIT: I'm over a year in on using these. Invest the time to get used to these and you won't regret it. Taking them out and putting them in have become second nature. I don't feel them. I don't leak anywhere. They're amazing. I'm even adding a star to my rating.
Review: Can be uncomfortable at first but definitely worth it - - Make sure to briefly research the disc and the cup and decide which one better suits your needs some differences are: cups hold less, cups are more beginner friendly and they may be easier to insert and less messy - use lubricant because it is not as easy to insert as a tampon - you have to be comfortable exploring that area of your body to make sure everything is in the right place (look up YouTube videos to understand the placement of the disc) - I had little to no leaks and I wore a panty liner just in case but it never filled - I wore it to sleep, while exercising and during the day, still minor to no leaks - I have a heavy flow and my period blood is thin (the small disc worked just fine) - I switched from pads to discs - I felt discomfort when I was inserting it for the first time and I did feel it throughout the day. Some days I felt it more than others. I think is because I’m still learning how to put it on and I’m not the best at it yet but I’m willing to overcome that with the benefits of using a disc - It’ll save you a lot of money in the long run - Removal can be messy. Since you can keep them on for 12 hours, I just insert/remove it when I shower in the morning and at night. I found it is easier because I don’t have to worry about a mess if I’m already in the shower. If your flow is heavier than mine, which mines is pretty heavy, then I’m sure you can check on it throughout the day just make sure your hands are clean. However, coming from someone with a really heavy period, I used the small disc and wore it all day and my panty liner was there just in case. If you feel more comfortable you can wear a pad just to be safe but I’m pretty sure you won’t really need it. - Overall, I’m satisfied with it

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A good option
*by M***E on July 24, 2026*

I had been using a menstrual cup for about five years, but I was never able to insert it properly. It always leaked a lot, so period liners were a must whenever I used the cup. The only time I managed to insert the cup properly, I realized that the suction caused me terrible cramps. It may have been because I have an IUD. I removed the cup and never used it again. It took me some time to try another eco-friendly and safe option. I decided to try a menstrual disc because I had seen comments from women who use them with an IUD without any problems. I bought this one because it was affordable and seemed like a good option for beginners. I have been using it for four periods now, and believe me, I don't regret it! To be honest, I wasn't expecting much because the first time I used it, it leaked a lot. But the second time, I understood better how to position it, and it was amazing. On the day when my flow was heaviest, my period liner was almost completely clean—with just a few drops after about eight hours—and I wasn't uncomfortable at all.
