While we don't have the time to feed our dogs fresh liver, we do make our dog food and add this as a topper, since one of the main ingredients is liver. It's pretty expensive for a small bag, so we can't use it as their main dog food, but we do use it regularly as a healthy treat and meal topper. A: Forget buying it for a large dog any dog over 40 pounds would take 7 cups 0 to 4 months 4 1/2 cups and 4 months to adulthood. And any dog 70 pounds or more 7 cups that’s a lot. Good luck
