Review: Excellent lantern! - I had a lower lumen twin-mantle lantern by Coleman and it just couldn't hold up being in a salty air environment. I decided to upgrade to this model. I'm really glad I did. Obviously it puts off much more light. I got the carrying case for it as well which I feel is a necessity. It feels very well built and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat, if I didn't upgrade to the 3000 lumen lantern that Coleman builds. One quirk that I like about it is that as the propane runs out and the light dims, it really starts to whistle loudly. I'm assuming that's not an intentional design factor but it's really handy if you're not paying attention to it. The whistling really let me rotate through a bunch of semi-full one pound bottles without unexpectedly losing the light.

I had a lower lumen twin-mantle lantern by Coleman and it just couldn't hold up being in a salty air environment. I decided to upgrade to this model. I'm really glad I did. Obviously it puts off much more light. I got the carrying case for it as well which I feel is a necessity.
