Infected with Trojans!!! *by A***R on May 3, 2024* This thing rendered my personal laptop inoperable. It made my screen flash and I couldn’t use the laptop, so I reinstalled Windows on it and it was fine for about two weeks. The screen started flashing again and this time I couldn’t reinstall Windows because it would not download past 64%. I thought the laptop had just run its course and borrowed a friend’s laptop. I used the adapter a few times and everything seemed fine. I used the adapter today to work from home on my company issued laptop and as soon as I opened the drive for the adapter, messages started popping up saying malicious software was detected and the program was terminated. After a couple of hours, I could no longer connect to the internet, despite having a strong connection. Then cybersecurity pings me on Teams and tells me my laptop has been disconnected from the network due to Trojan like behaviors running in the background and my laptop needed to be brought into the office to be reimaged.
