We had patio tiles laid in the bathroom a few years ago to provide a non-slip floor for our disabled parent. The pictures depicted it on the floor, with furniture on top, so I assumed it was, um, floorsafe. Big mistake. It was going to be too hard to try to return it (had, like, 20 individual boxes) and we needed tile pronto in this bathroom. “How bad could it be?” my partner asked. (Spoiler: very bad.) I installed the tile and grouted between, for looks and strength. It looked great, but, predictably, the tile picked up nicks and scratches from even light activity. I started to panic. It solved all my problems! No more scrubbing with abrasive cleansers and pressure-washing--all it needs is a damp mop to clean up. The floor looks good even with four large dogs tracking in mud and dirt everyday. Plus the application is really easy! I also appreciate that it is water-based for easy clean-up, and has low VOCs so you're not breathing in toxic fumes. Great product--the only reason why I gave it four stars instead of five is because I expected the satin finish to have a more subtle sheen--but the finish is actually very glossy and wet looking. The sealer will make the grout darker as it said it would, so I wish I had touched it up with a much lighter grout before sealing.
