[The legs can be set to 5 different heights from 9.4" – 12.6"] If you need less height than the lowest setting, it would not work, or if you needed the height higher than the raised height it would be low. I use it sitting in a recliner with my laptop. The leather surface keeps my laptop from moving around which is good. I think you need to test the heights you are going to need. With your monitor in place, I would take a board and putting under the board work out the ideal height for you.
