I would estimate that these patches lasted in my insoles for about 300 km before they were spent enough to be as rough as the insole material itself. You can see from the wear spots in the photo how the frictionless coating rubs off after a while. That said, I used them extremely hard. I had these in my boots while I was ruck marching and ruck running a minimum of 30 km a week with 80-100 lbs on my back. I don't think I would have been able to avoid blisters on my feet with 20+ km ruck marches without them, they were a game changer for me. Just be prepared to replace them after a while. For the people that had trouble getting them to stick to your insoles, make sure the insoles are completely clean (ideally new), and use a hair dryer to get the glue to seep into the insole fabric. I got these patches to stick so well I needed a hair dryer again to just loosen the edges to peel them off the insole to replace them.
