My whole family exercises and works out, and this is really good for keeping track of where you are with every minute on the minute style exercises as well as for doing competitions and seeing who is the best. All the functions are done by remote. No batteries are included! It takes two AAA batteries. I don’t think the remote is that intuitive, I had to use the instruction manual to understand some basic things. For example if you press clock, and edit, you can set the time. But you have to press edit again (and not exit) to save the new time. So I have to leave the manual on the windowsill with the remote until I learn the somewhat cryptic way that it works. You can mount it on a stand, it has mounting holes in the bottom. It comes with a power supply and the cord is decently long.
