Leonetto Cappiello (April 9, 1875 – February 2, 1942) was an Italian and French poster art designer and painter, who mainly lived and worked in Paris. He is now often called 'the father of modern advertising' because of his innovation in poster design. Cleverly linking products with vivid, memorable images, he produced 1,000 imaginative posters for beverages, ballet, literature, plays, travel and music halls in four decades. L'oie D'or (Foie Gras) depicts a golden goose wearing a crown against a pure imperial scarlet background - the Queen of Foie Gras. This is an excellent example of Cappiello’s work, creating convincing design of infinite charm that effortlessly persuades. ## Features - POSTER ONLY - POSTER SIZE - 33 x 24". Arrived as promised *by C***N on Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2017* It is a lovely print with vivid colors. Larger than expected, which could be my fault for not reading the fine print! Arrived as promised, nicely packaged. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Good poster; arrived damaged; great service *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2020* The poster is just what I wanted, but it arrived in a tube that had clearly been bent almost in half—the poster is no longer suitable for framing as I’d hoped to do as a gift for a friend.Edit: I forgot to mention above that the seller was NOT responsible for the damaged poster and that they were very responsive when I told them of it. They offered to send a replacement, but they instead sent me a full refund because it was too late to give as a gift. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/45208293-loie-dor-foie-gras-by-leonetto-cappiello-vintage-advertising-reproduction](https://www.desertcart.us/products/45208293-loie-dor-foie-gras-by-leonetto-cappiello-vintage-advertising-reproduction) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
