I purchased this to transfer files to and from storage devices.Tested on both usb c ports. Tests consistently will give a huge fluctuate from a few mbps to 500. It jumps up and down a few times then drops to zero mbps.Unreliable which means unusable.

The adapter works fine. However, the aluminum housing covering the usb-c end is already loose and coming off. It was like that straight out of the box. I contacted the customer service for Joiot twice, but never got a response. Amazon was helpful in getting it fixed, but would not recommend Joiot.

Works great with my Macbook and I'm so glad I bought it. I was at a conference and someone handed me a USB stick to load a file onto my Mac. Thank gods I had this in my bag.
