The biggest one is at the lowest speed it goes a little fast for fishing. I wish low speed was only half as fast as it is. Not a huge deal but something to consider. Might be partly because my setup is pretty light weight and doesn't take much to push it. The other thing is that the motor is on the heavy side (I think about 20 lbs.). Not that it's a problem to handle, but on a side mount setup it sort of tilts the kayak a little so I try to shift my weight slightly to compensate. Put it on my lifetime kayak with a bit of modifications and it'll get me going 6-7 mph at top speed. The lowest setting will get me going around 2-3mph which is a little faster than I wanted and hard to troll with. Definitely heavier than some alternatives but a good motor nonetheless.
