I've been looking for a wireless thermometer to monitor the meats we cook so I don't have to continually go outside to check them, especially in the heat of the summer and cold of the winter. With 2 probes, all the options I needed, a quality build, and a fair price, it was the one. So I bought it and I have been happy with everything about it. The instructions are easy to follow. Set up is fast and easy. The build quality is great. The probes are high quality and feel sturdy. The buttons are not flimsy. The screen is large and easy to read. The menus are easy to scroll through. The probes are easy to insert into the meat and the receiver quickly syncs with the probes after they are inserted. My base receiver is between 10 - 30 feet away from where the probes are in the meat in the smoker. No problem receiving a signal between the probes and the receiver, even with the smoker lid closed and the door to my deck closed. I have not had to use the signal booster that comes with the unit. Overall, very happy with the unit. It actually adds an element of fun to smoking for those that like gadgets and technology. I recommend this unit and I would purchase it again if I ever had to. The left side went through, battery was fully charged and everything was working. It was reading the temperature in left probe. The right hand side battery indicator came up with two bar, then they went away and never came back again no matter what I did. I changed the probes from side to side, turned it off, turned it on. The probe from the right side now works in the left side. The probe from the left side does not work in the right.
