Lots of ankle support, the only thing I would say is be aware that they are extremely stiff. I've flexed the tongue and skated in them for probably about 30+ total hours by now and the boots are still rock solid. They take some serious breaking in but I'll accept that for a high quality boot that will protect the ankles. Definitely use the size chart, do NOT just go with your regular shoe size.
