At the touch of the ignite button you have a very hot flame that can be used for many purposes. In my case, I use it as a beekeeper, cleaning tools and hives. I have occasionally uses it as a blow torch for metal working and it throws out so much heat that that too is a doddle. Unfortunately, it developed a fault after nearly 2 years. I was so take by the product that I was going to buy an exact same replacement one. Before doing so, I thought I'd just run it by the vendor. To my surprise and delight they just sent me a replacement on, without quibbles.
