Shape and size makes it easy to fit individual ice packs in lunchbox or "lunchbox" sized cooler (whether "kid-size" or larger "man-size". Worked great on trip when I wanted to keep sandwiches, other items cold as long as possible. Put one ice pack on bottom and other(s) in small cooler (I was using two "man-sized" coolers). Kept food cold, then cool. Ate last sandwich 2o0 hours after trip started. Was as if I had just made it and put it on the plate. A little above room temperature, safe to eat, fresh not stale.

For years I packed my children's lunches with the freezable lunch bags and never used freezer packs... But I ended up having to replace those lunch boxes far too often and they're expensive. So I bought these freezer packs and traditional lunch boxes for my kids lunch and I'm so surprised that these stay cold all day long. I put three in each lunch bag and at night when I'm unpacking their lunch boxes the freezer packs are still cold to the touch.
