They last a good 12 hours (the last few hours are not as hot but still effective). The heat pad is large enough to cover most of the lumber area and is very comfortable to wear. They worked well for me and take the edge off my pain for most of the day enabling me to work. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the price! At around £25 on offer or £28.99 full price for 8 disposable heat pads. Sadly It is to expensive for me to use as often as I would like. I will use them sparingly when my back pain is at its worst.
