I accidently hit a Simpson Strong Tie 1 1/2" hanger nail on the other side of the double joist and 4x6 post. The screw tip got destroyed and got dull of course but completed about 2 more holes before I went to a spade bit to complete the job. Not the tool's fault for being destroyed. Drills through pressure treated lumber with ease and minimal need to wobble the bit. It seems to pull itself in as well like some of the name brand auger type wood drill bits. I like the 3/8" hex type shank. More torque allowed with a 20v Dewalt drill driver. Thought I was going to be able to use it with my 12v Dewalt impact driver in a pinch but the shank is not going to fit the 1/4" impact driver's bit holder. Works well and my 2nd one is doing well with none of my mistakes from the first one. I add to the hole Magnesium Sulphate ie EPSOM SALTS which goes down to holes, dehydrates the roots making them easy to remove!
