Review: An inch or so slimmer - This more or less gets the job done. The main caveat here is that if the shirt is literally skin tight, with no looseness at all, this won't work as well. Otherwise, I've been able to use this to appear slimmer in any of my shirt sizes. I primarily wear XL shirts and some L's, and a handful of 2XLs or XL's that fit like 2XLs. The L's being the tighter of the ones I wear, I was glad to be able to use the corset. Wearing a corset is never supposed to be too comfortable, I know. For half the day, I can forget it's on mostly, but by the end of my day I want to take it off. In some sitting positions, this can feel more uncomfortable than it does standing. The more rigid supports of the corset chafed and scabbed me, but given that I don't wear this daily, it's no big deal. The more weight I lose, the better this should fit, but I suspect that I may have to buy the next size down (or not use a corset at all....) IF I'm lucky to drop enough pounds.

Me likey: + Good body shaper for events or everyday use + It fastens better, so it moves less + Very well built + Works in a pinch + Works better than other body shapers I’ve tried Me no likey: - No, you won’t lose weight with this - After extended use, the rubber stretches, so they must be replaced. - Fastening it takes some getting used to - Pricey if you keep replacing them I really like these body shapers, because they tend to work better than others I’ve tried. I have a hernia that cannot be repaired anytime soon, so I use it for much needed support. Fastening it takes some getting used to, but after a few uses, you’ll have it down. This has a good fit and doesn’t move around nearly as much as other shapers. You won’t lose weight with these though. It’s not for weight loss, it’s to hide a midnight Twinkie habit. Perhaps you could lose a drop or two of water weight if worn during a workout, but otherwise, no. After using it for awhile, the rubber stretches and it will never return to form, so you’ll need to replace it from time to time. I wear it regularly, and replace it 1-2 times a year. It can get pricey if you replace them often. Still, I’d wear these before other shapers; I just think it does the job better.
