As a beginner who has not installed an amplifier before it took me and a friend about 6 hours from start to finish. With common tools, and a crimper which I would not consider a common tool. I took the power from a positive battery terminal, the ground from under the seat, the REM was easy to find as the previous owner had left a cut off tail and I spliced into that. I only plugged in the RCA since I am do not know enough about the HI in cables. Some of the things I'd recommend buying at shown in the pages of things other people have purchased, a decent set of crimpers isn't needed but would make your handwork look alot nicer. A power delivery kit that included a power cable, a ground, as well as a REM cable and the quality was as expected.
