**Q: What are the bell's measurements?**
A: The base (which attaches to the wall) is 7 1/2 inches tall and 1 3/4 inches wide at the widest spot. It sticks out from the wall 7 inches. From the top of the fancy do-dad on top to the bottom of the bell is 9 1/2 inches. The chain for ringing the bell extends another 5 inches.

A: Not as loud as one that rings inside the house, but loud enough for me.

This is a great bell. Looks just like the pictures that have been provided by others here. The welcome sign is on both sides. It does have a nice, clear ringing LOUD ring. It is made of solid cast-iron. Weighs about 5 pounds. Super easy to assemble. Will look very nice no matter where you choose to place this bell. it does NOT come with screws. Other bells here on Amazon do, but, this one does not. Don't let that keep you from enjoying this very nice bell with a wonderful LOUD ring to it.

The bell was just what I was looking for. I own a log cabin in Rocky Mount NC. It was the perfect addition. The only thing I had to do was create a cord handle. It works great as a door bell.
