Unsurpassed and uUforgettable *by S***S on May 24, 2025* Lakrids are dreamy. A superior confection. The black licorice is delicious and has a perfect texture chewy with a bit of bite. (They call it “sweet” licorice because in many parts of Europe, as in Denmark, licorice can typically be salted. I find salted licorice revolting. The way licorice typically comes in Italy on the other hand is laced with mint.) Lakrids are coated in a smooth dreamy delicious chocolate wrapped in a thin delicate coating; not as thick or indelicate as that on M&Ms but its own “Lakrid” candy coating. It’s this candy coating which contains the varied flavors such as sour apple, strawberry, pink, pineapple, passionfruit, mango, etc. - . I wish they weren’t so delicious because I wouldn’t want them as often. The price is high of course they’re imported…truly a delicacy from Denmark.
