Review: A great addition to my hobby retro workshop. - The silicone tube helps to get greater suction, to remove solder. A well built piece of kit.
Review: Well Built Product That Performs. - I was very pleasantly surprised. It works as well, if not better, than any other manual solder sucker I’ve used. It comes with two replacement tubes that can be cut to size. The tubes can gum up if you use a lot of flux but that is to be expected. I ordered some additional tubes from a different vendor. It was a pack of twenty for a few bucks, so I should be set for a long time. I’ve also heard some buy tubing from an aquarium store and used it with success. There has been mention of the stem breaking when depressed. It feels very solid, but I think I can see where it might snap in time with heavy use. But again, it feels very solid and I’ve been using it often with no issues. I’ve had great experiences using this in conjunction with a soldering iron as well as a hot air soldering station. The suction is great, and the unit feels well built. In my humble opinion, it seems every bit as good as the Engineer brand. The body is metal and seems very durable and substantial without being too heavy. I would buy this again in the future and recommend it to friends. I have had great luck with KOTTO products so far. I ordered one of the square desktop versions of their fume extractor and I was also pleasantly surprised. It is very effective for what it is and is very well built. KOTTO, so far, is a brand that I have come to respect. Hopefully that continues. About the rating: I gave it a five-star review because I couldn’t really find a reason to deduct any. **Q: Where is this made?**
A: I am not certain of the manufacturer location. It is a good quality tool, and does the job well, it sucks solder like a champ!

**Q: Is there a link to buy additional silicone tips?**
A: Hi there! The product tip comes with a longer tube in which you can cut "replacement tips". Unfortunately for now we do not have additional silicone tips.

**Q: Can I use it without the silicone tube? Why do I need it?**
A: it improves absorption, I guess. You may use it without it. The first one I had 20 years ago didn't have the silicone tip, just a hard plastic one, compared with this one those were complicated and messy times.
