Review: Great Value - It’s a little messy but very satisfying and easy to use! I pitted three pounds of cherries in under 15 minutes, and the fruit didn’t get smooshed. The handle is comfortable and sturdy. A little bit of juice splattered but it was very minimal, and I just kept a damp rag handy to wipe up when needed. Using a deep bowl was also helpful! As someone with arm/hand strength issues, I would totally recommend this to others with similar issues. Very pleased with this pitter!
Review: Works great and the splatter is easy to control. - The first one sent to me was packaged poorly and the plastic shield was shattered into almost a dozen pieces. I requested a replacement and it came in fine. To solve the splatter problem I put a plastic, 8 oz glass in the sink. After carefully orienting the cherry so the pit will be in line with the plunger I put the bottom of the splash shield just below the rim of the glass and squeeze the handle. Just about all of the splatter goes into the glass and I can see if I got the pit or not. When I'm done I just wash the glass and rinse the sink if any splatter got out. Easy.

It’s a little messy but very satisfying and easy to use! I pitted three pounds of cherries in under 15 minutes, and the fruit didn’t get smooshed. The handle is comfortable and sturdy.
