Great product with easy installation.When the light went out in my Harbor Breeze fan, I thought I would need an electrician. Oh woe is me! Big buck$$$$. I'm not that handy with such things, but I decided to look into DIY first. The Harbor Breeze website was no help at all for finding the needed replacement part, nor how to install it.Then, once more, I had the big "Ah Hah" that never seems to occur to me first in these quandaries -- duh! -- try Amazon. And, bingo, again, there it was-- just the part I needed. There must have been dozens of similar offerings, but, in terms of matching the size and wattage of my dead lamp, this Ledytech 4 inch Retrofit Light Kit caught my eye, and the reviews were encouraging. This turned out to be a great choice. The clever solution of including small magnets to attach this light kit to the fan housing made installation a breeze and will help this unit work magically in a wide variety of fans by avoiding the whole issue of having to fit the mounting screw patterns of different ceiling fans. Genius stuff. Everything you need is included. As a bonus, the light is much brighter than the original version, and . . . tah-dah! . . . it works with my Harbor Breeze remote as well! So, yeah, I'm happy. You will be, too. Take it from a DIY doofus.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Excellent quality and super bright! I installed it in a ceiling fan and works great and it is dimmable. I recommend it 100%

When I moved the ceiling light from the living room to the room, I realized that the light was weak. Fortunately, this part was being sold on Amazon, so I bought it.The current products have a connector for the light, but the old lights had a soldered wire. It was very easy to reconnect the wire, and after replacing it, the room became brighter, so I am very satisfied.

Mother/daughter project and we got it installed pretty easily!!I kept thinking of the old joke about how many people does it take to install a light bulb. In my case it took 3. Me and my 12 year daughter took an hour to pull the unit apart. I had no idea what I was looking at when I saw that circuit board.The guy at Lowes didn’t even know what it was when I showed him a picture, nor did they carry anything in store.So glad I found this unit on Amazon!I watched multiple installation videos but truly it was super easy. The tiny wires were scary for a half a second but ended up being the easiest part.Only one hole matched up (metal casing) but the unit is so lightweight it doesn’t really matter. I used a sticky backing from the old unit to help secure but that isn’t necessary. Anyway, I’m thankful to have found this unit although I’ll likely keep looking for a long term replacement. The light is dimmable but it’s way too white bright. It belongs in a lab or garage and definitely not a bedroom!! My 17 y/o daughter took lead by cutting off the power at the circuit breaker and disconnecting the old wires and reconnecting the new. She can’t put air in her tires but had no problem replacing this unit.So again, super glad that I found a unit that is universal AND easy to install but really hate the super brightness. There’s info on the unit that indicates the wattage but I just grabbed the closest thing that resembled what was previously there.As I type, I’m sitting here looking up at the light and it’s uncomfortably bright even on a low setting. The side lamp might help for comparison.I took pics on a couple of different levels of brightness. Good luck!

Worked pretty good for me!

Worked for 1 day in my Harbor Breeze ceiling fan. Apparently it’s not even supposed to go in ceiling fans… Frustrating

Tried to get a replacement from the manuf of my fan light, and they wanted over $70. The whole new fan was $100, so looked for an alternative and this worked great! This plugged right in place of the old one and has more light temperature options than my original-even better!

I had a soft white version for my fan and I DON'T recommend. The brightness is no difference then my more yellow soft light version that came with the fan. The white LED's need to be MUCH brighter.
