Resistance bands give you the ability to do more types of exercise movements than free weights and I use them in combination with free weights to get a more thorough "torture session." I would say these are good for a beginner and a moderate level exerciser. Seem to be well made and take up a lot less room than heavy free weights but have very little use directions included. Look at some online videos to see how to use them properly. I'm happy with the set and it's a very low price for the beginner who wants to start exercising. The bands itself is very strong and it's great that it comes with ankle and handle straps so you can create any combination of exercise that your heart desires. It's easy to clip the handle and straps to each of the band so going from one weight to the next is very quick. There are total 5 bands in 5 colors with an increment of 5 pounds up to 25 pounds. It's pretty easy to memorize which color is what weight of you taken taekwondo. It starts with yellow belt up to black belt. Only one issue I had out of the package is the clip. One of the clip so far broken off, I tried to fix it spending over 30min and finally gave up and contacted the seller and they will send a replacement. I use them for shoulder injury therapy. I have been given therapy bands for use @ home, but these make a good substitute. Just be aware that the color/strength of these bands do not relate to the color/strength of other branded therapy brands, but that is to be expected.
