I could also see this step being useful for other applications, such as entry to an RV. I believe the quality meets the value I paid for the step. So far, I am very happy with it.

**Q: Are there liners for the inside of the steps? Is that what I’m seeing in the photos?**
A: Yes, that is correct… the inside has a grommeted plastic liner inside for storing chemicals, test strips, etc.
The package comes with screws and pre-drilled holes for the inside liner mounting.  Overall I’m pleased with the design.

**Q: What is the Weight rating of these steps?**
A: Not sure if the actual rating but I’m over 200 and they dont even flex. Very solid.

**Q: What is the weight limit?**
A: I had someone close to 300 
No problem

**Q: Will top open when steps are up against the spa or do you have to pull is away some?**
A: In order to fully open the storage compartment, you will need to leave a small space, an inch or so, between the steps and the spa.

Ordered this product after receiving another brand that looked really cheap and felt untrustworthy for use. This product is extremely well made and despite it being plastic feels very strong and fit for use. The storage space is large and fitted with a heavy liner, so far no water from either use or weather has gotten into it. The steps don't make any weird noises or deform in use and are properly sized for our tub which is 36" high. So well made, reasonably priced, and attractive.
