These work really well because the ice pack is put *inside* the thermos (rather than a bulky ice pack outside), so it does not need to be nearly so big to have the same cold effect. One ice pack in this 12 oz thermos will keep the milk really ice-cold for more than 8 hrs. He will love it! **Q: Can this bottle be filled with hot water and keep the water warm for hours?** A: No. It says that ON THE BOTTLE. It’s not for hot liquids **Q: is this bottle leakproof?** A: Yes, is is leakproof. If the top is screwed on correctly (not misthreaded) and the straw is pulled through tight, it will NOT leak. The few times we’ve had it leak is due to user error. Though it will obviously leak (little dribbles) if the top is not closed and the bottle is turned upside down or laid on its side. For reference, we’re probably going to buy this for the third time in two years because it keeps getting lost. Recommend it 100%! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great, sturdy, easy to clean toddler cup *by A***X on August 4, 2025* I researched metal toddler cups forever before deciding on this one and I’m so happy I went with Thermos. We have 2 of these cups for my 2-year-old and they’re great. They are super sturdy (my daughter has quite the arm and throws her cups daily from up in her high chair). They leak if they’re laying on their side with the top open, but that’s kind of to be expected. We just make sure to keep the top shut when my daughter isn’t drinking from it. It’s very easy to open and my daughter does it herself no problem. The little handle is perfect for toddlers to carry it themselves. They keep water cold for a long time; I find ice stays frozen in there for a while. They’re easy to take apart and clean. I like that the straw is clear so you can see if there’s anything in it. You can also buy replacement parts for the straw sections of the cup which is great. They’re dishwasher safe and fit in a standard car seat cup holder (all these were an absolute must for a toddler cup for our house). We have this butterfly one and the strawberry one. Neither have chipped or faded yet and they’re washed and dishwashed regularly. One goes to daycare with my daughter and has held up very well.
