My screen is about 3’ from my wall and like I said, the light isn’t that noticeable. I store all of my gear behind the screen and haven’t had any lightning issues. **Q: Can I paint on it?** A: I have the green screen - it’s just thin material - so you should be able to. **Q: Does this black backdrop have a pocket at the top to put a pole through?** A: Yes, it does, However I find it easier to just drape the top over the pole and clamp it in place.
