**Q: How is the mesh screen retained? is it just crimped in the metal shell as part of mfg or is it welded / glued in place?**
A: It looks to be crimped in the metal, I ordered these for a lab I worked for, I had to brush powder through the mesh to get a particle size less than ten microns. Has held up for three years now with daily usage.

**Q: Are the sieves dishwasher safe?**
A: they are stainless steel and I have seen no issues
