He is pictured wearing it with it fastened. He turned his head on the first try (but since he’s so handsome and we love him so much, it still shows the collar fastened). Ryker is in continuing training mode and learning socialization skills after just completing a 4-week course. The trainer recommended the Sprenger collar and I ordered this easy-to-use buckle since the collar by itself can be difficult for some to put on and remove. One must squeeze the metal prongs inward to do this, and since the metal is stout, it can be difficult. This buckle eliminates the repetitive squeezing. This buckle replaces one of the existing clips. I am impressed with it. It provides a sliding cover to reveal and protect the button that is depressed to remove the collar. Now all my friend has to do is snap the two sides together. It feels heavy duty and durable. I can only assume at this point that it will withstand the elements and not rust. I felt the price was reasonable, especially given the brand name. It was very easy to put into place and use. It feels very secure. No instructions come with this. There are instructions pictured on the sales page. I ordered the wrong size to begin with, so have a metric measure handy unless you are fortunate enough to have the prong size on your Sprenger collar package; we were not.
