I must admit, I almost quit reading it when I reached the 3rd chapter. I was expecting something with less bias, broader viewpoints and the spiritual/religious viewpoint of practitioners.I’m glad that I read on to the second part of the book. Her personal journal as she travelled to the Black Madonna’s of Europe was experiential and moving. I wish she had included the voices of people living at those locations and praying at the shrine. It would have provided the deeply spiritual element I was seeking. The rest of the book was not so compelling. The author’s analysis is heavily based on Rudolph Steiner’s Astrophy charts and Angelic Ages. Her apologetics for the Crusades made me uncomfortable. Descriptions of the Knight’s Templar’s relationship with the Muslims ignored the fact that they were an invading army which killed people. For Rudolf Steiner followers and New Age enthusiasts, this book will be a good read. If, like me, you want a more scholarly book that looks at the beliefs and experiences of those whose daily devotion involve prayer to their Madonna, this is not a good read.I wish Georieff had listened to the message the Madonna had given her, “I am what I am, stop making me into something I am not.” ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Black Madonna is a profound force for the reawakening ... *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 27, 2016* The Black Madonna is a profound force for the reawakening of consciousness of the Divine Feminine. Stephanie Georgieff has reverently come before Her presence and describes not only personal experience but also adds her in-depth understanding of the Black Madonna and the context in which she has appeared. A message of significance is that the Black Madonnas appeared exactly when humankind had and has need of their specific message and healing. Anyone interested in the Black Madonna and called to understand Her will benefit from Stephanie Georgieff's meaningful and timely contribution. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An work that is very insightful and a wonderful read. *by S***K on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 4, 2019* After 30 years of study in metaphysics / spirituality, I can attest without hesitation, The Black Madonna: Mysterious Soul Companion is a delightful read, well researched and wonderfully written. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/44147449-the-black-madonna-mysterious-soul-companion-paperback-february-18-2016](https://www.desertcart.us/products/44147449-the-black-madonna-mysterious-soul-companion-paperback-february-18-2016) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
