I trashed all my old dull broken stead knives. I recently purchased the larger knife sets that match the steak knives. Also threw away all the dull kitchen and chef knives incl the ceramic ones - waste of money. This style is all one piece which I love, and wickedly sharp, comfortable in the hand. I also purchased the smaller sized sharpener recommended by Global sold on desertcart. Haven't used the sharpener yet. I was going to return them, but I was able to remove the rust.
