Enhances the speckle while still making the clay appear mostly white. Also lets colored slip / englob show its color, but very muted through the white. It’s a perfect blend of solid white and clear shiny glaze. … Also, shakes up well and brushes on nicely. Review: Perfect colors and does not run too much - I received so many compliments with the Pottery pieces I made with this glaze ## Features - COLOR PROFILE - Lilac features a smooth, pastel purple glaze with a soft, gloss finish. The surface shows gentle variations in tone, with lighter lavender highlights and occasional bluish undertones. The overall effect is clean and even, with a subtle, airy appearance. - CONE 5–6 MID-FIRE - Formulated for mid-fire kilns at cone 5 and cone 6 (about 2167–2232°F). Always fire in a calibrated pottery kiln, never a kitchen oven, so your results match the swatch. - GLOSSY, OPAQUE FINISH - Fires to a smooth, glossy shine with solid, even color that fully covers the clay body underneath. - READY TO BRUSH & BLEND - Ready to brush straight from the jar. Blend with colors in the same series to make new glaze colors, or layer it with other glazes for new effects. - ART MATERIAL - Conforms to ASTM D-4236 art materials standard. Suitable for surfaces that come into contact with food or drink when fired to the specified cone on the product label. Crazing, pinholing or blistering makes a surface unsuitable; test your own clay and firing. - CONSCIENTIOUSLY MANUFACTURED - At Penguin Pottery, our core values are simple: manufacture responsibly in the USA, craft exceptional products, and support the pottery community by donating 1% of our sales to school programs, community centers, and disaster relief for artists. - LIFETIME WARRANTY - Penguin Pottery products are backed by our Lifetime Warranty. If you have any issues, we will give you a refund or replace your product. See warranty & support section for more information. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09XRCRL6X | | Age Range (Description) | Adult, Youth | | Age Range Description | Adult, Youth | | Best Sellers Rank | #40,542 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ( See Top 100 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ) #58 in Ceramics Glazes | | Brand | Penguin Pottery | | Brand Name | Penguin Pottery | | Color | Lilac | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 149 Reviews | | Included Components | Glaze, Wax Resist, Instructions | | Item Dimensions | 3 x 3 x 6 inches | | Item Weight | 1.7 pounds | | Manufacturer | Penguin Pottery | | Manufacturer Part Number | PP-GZ-MH-301 | | Material | Ceramic | | Material Type | Ceramic | | Model Name | Lilac | | Model Number | PP-GZ-MH-301 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Recommended Uses For Product | Pottery | | UPC | 659725011589 | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Adult, Youth - **Brand:** Penguin Pottery - **Color:** Lilac - **Included Components:** Glaze, Wax Resist, Instructions - **Item Weight:** 1.7 pounds - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 3.5 x 3.5 x 3.75 inches - **Material:** Ceramic - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Number of Packs:** 1 - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Pottery ## Images ![Penguin Pottery - Ceramic Glaze - Mid-Fire Cone 5 & 6 - Opaque Series - Lilac - 16 oz | 473 ml - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61LQVzi8MGL.jpg) ![Penguin Pottery - Ceramic Glaze - Mid-Fire Cone 5 & 6 - Opaque Series - Lilac - 16 oz | 473 ml - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71EuDOdoClL.jpg) ![Penguin Pottery - Ceramic Glaze - Mid-Fire Cone 5 & 6 - Opaque Series - Lilac - 16 oz | 473 ml - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71zrod3-OoL.jpg) ![Penguin Pottery - Ceramic Glaze - Mid-Fire Cone 5 & 6 - Opaque Series - Lilac - 16 oz | 473 ml - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61NoUETbhrL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to use, looks fantastic! *by O***5 on November 30, 2025* Love this glaze!! I found this glaze and it was the purple of my dreams. It came out exactly how I wanted it! Some of my pieces were fired in the electric kiln and some of my pieces were fired in reduction and all of my pieces came out absolutely stunning. Don’t hesitate to order this glaze for your art! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/440314609-penguin-pottery-ceramic-glaze-mid-fire-cone-5-and-6](https://www.desertcart.us/products/440314609-penguin-pottery-ceramic-glaze-mid-fire-cone-5-and-6) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
