**Q: How heavy is it?**
A: 3.31 kg net weight and 28 x 16 x 16 cm on the bare machine. The carton is heavier and larger because it holds the torch, spool and accessories, so compare bare weight when you compare welders, including this one.

**Q: Can I TIG weld out of the box?**
A: No. Lift TIG needs a WP17V TIG torch and an argon bottle, both sold separately. The box holds the MIG torch, electrode holder and earth clamp, so MIG and Stick work on day one and TIG needs that torch first.

**Q: What wire does it take?**
A: 0.8 mm or 1.0 mm flux-core wire on a 1 lb spool, and the feed roller takes either size. This model has no gas valve, regulator or hose, so it will not run solid wire with gas, and stainless needs stainless flux-core wire.

**Q: How thick can it weld?**
A: Around 0.8-1.2 mm mild steel sheet on MIG, which covers car panels, gates and exhausts. Stick mode takes 3.2 mm electrodes for thicker angle and box section. For plate over 5 mm, a 200 A machine is the better tool.

**Q: Does it need a gas cylinder?**
A: No cylinder, no regulator, no rental. This model runs flux-core wire only, so the wire supplies its own shielding gas. That is why it works indoors with the door shut and outdoors in wind, and why there is nothing to refill.
