Years ago I had a serious knee injury and ruptured my patella tendon. Major ouch. It was reattached but now I have chronic pain. My other knee doesn't feel too good either. I tried this device and continued my regular workouts, which consisted of a combination of cardio and weights. It does two things. It supports my knees by exerting pressure above and below my kneecap, and my knee joint tracks better and stays in alignment during my workout. Any leg equipment I can max out with the weight, but it was painful. With these straps the pain went away. I took off a star because the Velcro tabs are a bit small and will occasionally pop off during a strenuous workout. Other than that, they're easy to put on and are very comfortable.
