You have to find a very good Reed maker which some blogs may write about or go to Armenia to ask around. But it is also just luck based on your mouth and preferences that you come across a Reed that is easiest for you to play. Sound is good for almost any apricot wood instrument. Most professionals have over 30 reeds and choose what they want for the style of playing in a given piece. **Q: Can barely make a sound, seema wrong. Is it me or the instrument/reeds?** A: It takes lots of practice. Double reed instruments are hard to play by nature. Give it a little more practice and try soaking the reeds to loosen them up. **Q: Could i get a video of this instrument being played?** A: Go on YouTube. They’re a dime a dozen. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gorgeous *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 19 December 2025* An incredible instrument with an authentic beauty of which I have never experienced , great value especially if you are a beginner. ### ⭐ Mouthpieces are horrible *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 17 June 2026* The mouthpiece provided are disaster. They are unplayable and leave a very irritable taste and smell. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic value and impressively high quality *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 24 May 2025* An excellent starter duduk of impressively high quality for the price. The reeds are great for beginners (although professional soft reeds might be even easier to play), and the sound the instrument produces - even from a beginner like myself - is fantastic! The extra Armenian Flute you get is also a very nice bonus. ## Frequently Bought Together - ARMENIAN DUDUK - 2 reed - handmade from ARMENIA - Oboe Balaban Woodwind Instrument Apricot Wood - Playing Instruction - Gift Armenian flute and National case - Andoer Tripod Stand Holder Portable Foldable for Oboe Flute Clarinet Straight Saxophone Wind Instrument - Hodge Silk Oboe Swab - Blue --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/439919695-armenian-duduk-handmade-from-armenia-oboe-balaban-woodwind-instrument-apricot](https://www.desertcart.us/products/439919695-armenian-duduk-handmade-from-armenia-oboe-balaban-woodwind-instrument-apricot) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-31*
